Winter in "The Southland".  I remember spending many mornings in the surf off of Manhattan followed by a dash up Angeles Crest to Mount Baldy or Wrightwood for afternoon and night skiing.  If you don't live in Southern California you probably wouldn't believe it's possible but... that's the "SoCal" legacy and our winter's are very special.
